First-year studentIndividuals who are currently in high school or their highest earned degree is a high school diploma/GED. This includes individuals who completed college courses during high school as Dual Enrollment or Early Middle College students. -
Transfer studentStudents who began their undergraduate studies at another institution.

Graduate studentIndividuals who have earned an undergraduate degree, such as a bachelor's, and are pursuing an advanced degree.

Adult learnerIndividuals 25 and older who are interested in taking their first steps toward a college education.

Returning WarriorWayne State students who have taken a break of a year or more and are interested in re-enrolling.

International studentIndividuals who are not currently U.S. citizens or permanent residents; individuals with dual citizenship should apply as a U.S. citizen.

Simon Mourani
Simon Mourani made the most of his time at Wayne State University by engaging with as many people and opportunities as possible — a skill that’s serving him well in his role as associate program manager of public affairs at DTE. In his role, which he started in July 2022, Mourani coordinates and leads community outreach events to enhance the brand, raise awareness of services and programs, and deliver a positive experience to customers on behalf of DTE.
