1098-T Tax Reporting Information

Effective January 1, 2018, Internal Revenue Code requires educational institutions to report payments received (from any source) for qualified tuition and related expenses (QTRE) in Box 1 of Form 1098-T.   Scholarships and Grants awarded during the calendar year will continue to be reported in Box 5.

Form 1098-T for the upcoming tax year will be available by January 31, 2025

Accessing Your 1098-T

To access your 1098-T, log in to your Student Account Dashboard via Academica, then select Tax Forms.

Paperless Delivery

Your 1098-T form can be accessed, viewed, and printed from your Student Account Dashboard.   Paperless Delivery of your annual 1098-T form is available.

To enroll, go to your Student Account Dashboard, select Tax Forms, and then Sign Up for Paperless Delivery.   You will then automatically be enrolled into Paperless Delivery for future reporting years until you opt out.   Students who did not consent to Paperless Delivery will also be mailed a 1098-T form to their address of record by January 31st.

Accessing Your 1098-T - 2021 and Prior Years

  1. Log into Academica.wayne.edu
  2. Enter your AccessID and password
  3. Select the Student tab
  4. Using the menu located on the left, select Financial Records
  5. Select 1098-T
  6. Enter Tax Year and submit
