Federal aid and many WSU scholarships and grants have annual and lifetime limits.

Federal Pell Grant limits

The Federal Pell Grant is only available to undergraduate students who have not yet earned a bachelor's or professional degree. The award is limited to 12 semesters for full-time enrollment.

Federal loan limits

If you decide to borrow federal student loans to help pay for your degree, remember that student loans have annual and lifetime limits. Once you reach these limits you will no longer be able to borrow.

WSU grant and tuition pledge program limits

The WSU grants and tuition pledge programs are awarded for four years to new first-year undergraduates and two years for new transfer students. You must pass 30 credits each year in order to retain your award.

Most WSU scholarships will only be awarded for four years to new first-year undergraduates and two years for new transfer students.

Academic planning

If your degree requires 120 credits, you will need to enroll in 15 credits each semester in order to graduate in four years.
