State grants, scholarships & other aid

The state of Michigan offers a variety of scholarships and grants for students. Most awards are only for Michigan residents. To be considered for an award you must be a resident for one year, since July 1, prior to your enrollment. If you are a dependent student your parent must also be a Michigan resident.

If you qualify for a tuition pledge program (WSU Guarantee, Heart of Detroit, Wayne Access) these awards may be used to ensure your tuition and standard fees are paid.
